Job Description:  Junior Estimator / Project Manager

Highly respected interior and exterior architectural design Division 9 Contractor with a wide variety of service offerings including working in flooring, drywall, acoustical, millwork, carpentry and demolishing in South Texas, is looking to add a Junior Estimator / Project Manager to our team. Our company philosophy is based on multiple service offerings for our GC clients enabling them to manage large-scale projects with fewer managed subs providing the highest quality of work backed by integrity and the highest regard for client satisfaction.

$55,000 + Bonus

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist VP of Estimating with bids and calendar
• Submit RFIs to Architect and/or GCs for all items that lack Clarity or have Discrepancies.
• Assist in materials quotes for job costing. 
• Manage Change order log per project.
• Work with in-field superintendent to communicate percentage complete to achieve on time project completion.
• Assist management team in client relations and business development.
• Review Project Scope and Budget with Project Management Team planning material deliveries and site needs.
Desired Skills:
• Familiar with commercial construction drawings / plans 
• Experience in div 9, div 10 a plus (Drywall, acoustical ceilings, flooring)
• Experience with multiple scopes 
• Ability to work under Deadlines, and adapt to rapidly changing conditions, with a Strong Sense of Urgency
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Outlook
• Strong Attention to Detail, Accuracy, and Quality.
• Ability to independently exercise business judgment as to important tasks, while always considering the customers’ and company’s best interests.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, influencing, negotiating, and assertiveness.
• Decision making, sound business judgment.
• Time management skills to move projects along and service various client needs.
